Action Wellness is pleased to announce that more than $70,000 was raised during the 35th anniversary of Dining Out For Life® (DOFL), held on April 23, 2026. The funds raised will directly support the organization’s comprehensive life-sustaining services that continue to serve over 2,000 clients throughout the Greater Philadelphia region each year.
To everyone who participated in this year’s Dining Out For Life: we thank you! Your generosity ensures that Action Wellness can continue its mission while working toward a future where everyone has equitable access to the care and support they need. This year, more than 40 participating restaurants across the region donated a portion of the days sales to Action Wellness, making every meal a meaningful investment in the health and well-being of our community. We are deeply grateful to our restaurant partners, volunteers, sponsors, and the thousands of diners who chose to make a difference simply by dining out on this day.
While this is an amazing milestone, the HIV Epidemic is far from over. The reality is that many individuals still rely on organizations like Action Wellness for medical case management, housing assistance, prevention services, and other critical programs that help them live healthier lives. While DOFL events help fill funding gaps, these unmet needs serves as a reminder that the fight continues on.
What began in Philadelphia in 1991 by Action Wellness – then known as ActionAIDS – has grown into an international movement that has generated millions of dollars for HIV service organizations across North America. For 35 years, Dining Out For Life has demonstrated the power of community, bringing together restaurants, sponsors, volunteers, and diners with a shared commitment to ensuring people living with HIV or at high-risk of acquiring HIV have access to the care and resources they need.
